Top 5 Songs of the 2019 So Far

2019 has been a great year so far for the music industry. There have been a number of talented artists that are finally receiving radio play—with a lot of them being up and coming young artists. There have also been major comebacks from prominent artists. To analyze this year so far, I have decided to put together a list of the top 5 songs of 2019 thus far. 

#5 Cool - Jonas Brothers

Yep, after 6 years apart, they’re finally back together. This song brings a new grove to their normal beats—perfect for the summer. 

#4 Look What God Gave Her - Thomas Rhett

Over the past 5 or so years, I have become a huge country music fan. Thomas Rhett is definitely my favorite artist. With most of his music focused on family, life, and love – he brings something that is easily relatable to the table. 

#3 ME! - Taylor Swift

Speaking of comebacks, this year is going to be huge for Taylor Swift. Partnering with Brendon Urie from Panic at the Disco, this song takes he music to a whole new level. I’m sure this song will be at the top of the charts for the next couple weeks. The only part of this song that I dislike is when she says the lyric, “spelling is fun kids.” 

#2 Sucker - Jonas Brothers

 

Yet another Jonas Brothers song. They came back into the industry swinging—with them also announcing a tour just last week. This was their first song back and the video has been a hit with everyone who has watched it. I think the main reason is because all of their wives are in the videos now so it’s kind of like everyone grew up. 

#1 Thank U, Next – Ariana Grande 

 

With the release of her last album only one year ago, Ariana Grande has released a number of hit songs this year – including an entirely new album. This song was #1 on the Billboard charts for weeks, and will most likely chart high for the rest of the summer.
